Hey Nats, slow down. you just signed Cora to a lucrative contract.
David
I remember a few years back, going to Shea when Heilman was a Met, and everyone hated him because he was absolutely terrible. So these guys sitting next to me got some beers and they asked the beer guy “hey can we just have the cans instead of you pouring them out?” the beer guy responded with “I would, but Heilman is on the mound, and we don’t need people throwing things at him.” One of my favorite Shea moments to look back on haha

They hated him more than John Rocker? wow.

I’m pretty sure teams don’t ever have to sacrifice a draft pick to sign a Type-B, do they?

“Since he declined Arizona’s arbitration offer, the club will not receive compensation if they lose the Type B free agent.”
Wait, what?
King Chris
That’s got to be a typo. They will get one if another team signs him.

that’s wrong. If they offered, they get compensation. Him declining goes without saying, since if he accepted, they would have him instead!
The only way they would not be getting compensation is if they did not offer him arbitration.

lol heilman actually has teams interested in him.. he’s the worst relief pitcher in baseball.. Kevin Gregg is bad but heilman is slightly worse. I don’t need to remind mets fans he single handed cost the mets the NL East for 2007 and 08.. its also beltrans fault for taking a called third strike like a fool.
Matt
That curveball was filthy, give him a break.
Robby Reyes
You guys probably can’t pitch better than Heilman.
