He’ll be a nice insurance policy. Between Hill and Sanabia, the Marlins should be able to replace up to 2 starters, if necessary, with sub-5.00 ERA guys, both with control.
That’s a pretty nice luxury to have, especially for a team with the Marlins payroll constraints (even with the ~$60 MM payroll this year).

With his career ground ball rate being about 50%, he should be able to put up a 4.00 FIP.

I was kind of upset when the Jays released him. Good pickup for the fish, I was surprised he lasted this long without a team.
