I’m very interested to see what Volquez does for the Reds this year. Last full season he had was excellent. I hope he repeats it, if not improves on it.

would likely be in the $1.6MM range**

Hopefully for The Reds he doesn’t accidentally take any performance “bonuses” this year.

Still cant believe they traded Hamilton for Volquez. Hamilton AND Votto? Not to mention Bruce? Jeez Cincy screwed it up pretty bad there…

Most confusing post of the day….. Please write this in layman’s terms…. So lost… Last I check the Rangers only have Hamilton, the Reds have Bruce, Votto and Volquez, and we didn’t get either of those guys from another team. Well with the exception of Volquez

Hamilton was traded from Cincinnati to Texas in exchange for Volquez (I’m sure there were others as well). I remember this looking like a huge win for the Reds, but as always time will have to tell overall

The Reds also received Daniel Ray Herrera along with Volquez for Hamilton. I don’t believe anybody else was involved though.

One of the most underated starting pitchers.
