dejesus at second and carroll at ss…or do they mean uribe at second, carroll at ss, and blake at third, with dejesus backing up.
Gumby65
Prolly see a whole lot of mix-matches going on, with ocassional Blake 3b Uribe SS and DeJesus 2b (not as often as Uribe 2b & Carroll at SS though)
glm0430
why dont the dodgers go out and get a quality shortstop? do they not realize its somewhat of an important position?
Gumby65
Because “Dodgers” and “Free Spending” are usually not winning combos in word association games.
BlueSkyLA
Because they already have one? Accident prone, maybe, but he is quality.
mgsports
Yes they do but it is Uribe at SS and Carroll at 2B.

Khalil Greene ever get mentally fit and start taking up independent ball anywhere? Not that he’d be game ready in 1 or 2 months or anything; just asking if anybody has heard anything…

I think he left the game.

This is as good a time as any to find out if Ivan DeJesus Jr is an MLB caliber player or not.
It’s a gamble to bank on Jamey Carroll producing offensively for an extended stretch but he hasn’t failed yet. Raffy has been injured before. However, I do have a semi-related question that my little voice keeps bothering me with,
“Why is Aaron Miles on this team?”.
Are we paying him real money?
I guess he’s got a great glove but I’d much rather have a Luis Valdez type backup over him right now, or Tony Abreu, Juan Castro, Ryan Theriot, Blake DeWitt, Angel Berroa, Nick Green, Andy LaRoche, Chin-lung Hu, Ronnie Bell…umm forget I started to type his name.
Point is we’ve flushed a lot of infielders down the toilet to be hanging onto Aaron Miles.
The team has been plagued by such inconsistency at second base that it begs the question…
Why did they let the O-Dog walk?
Now we’re paying an inferior player in Juan Uribe more money than we would’ve needed to pay Hudson.
I wish Dye had also told the reporter how much money he was looking for so us fans could make a good judgment of whether our team was too cheap or the player too greedy.

“Why is Aaron Miles on this team?”
(As sung by Frank McCourt)
“No Speed, no glove, not much of a bat, ain’t gotta pay him a lick, so he’s all that”

The o-dog was a dog-dog for the last half of 2009. Short memories, some people have.
