One scary offense.. and Hamilton hasn’t even joined the party yet
MadmanTX 2
The pitching has been very good as well though the real test will be starting tomorrow on the road trip. Everybody on the roster has stepped up, even Hamilton has contributed a few timely hits. They should have more talent than the Yankees to work with in a potential trade at the deadline–maybe with the Red Sox who wouldn’t want to trade a top starter to the Yankees…and assuming this may be a lost season for Boston.
Lunchbox45
its true. no team has ever started 0-6 and made the world series. sox should start selling now, they’ll get a much higher return because theres so many more buyers. Royals and Pirates should def look in to some depth for their impending playoff run.

Best comment ever. It’s a wonderful thing when such sarcasm can be translated well via text. Well said sir.

It makes me wonder if A-Gon really wants to play for these losers long term.

As much as I hope you’re right, 6 games is an extremely small sample size. The Red Sox will be fine, unfortunately they’re a very talented team.
notsureifsrs
that is ridiculous. they are 4 games back with only 156 left to play. it’s over and you know it
Lunchbox45
Just not enough games left to claw back in it

You speak the truth!!… I mean about your screen name

Assuming we do need an ace at the deadline.. What exactly is out there? Wandy and Jackson just aren’t very appealing. Any chance the Dodgers fall out and decide to trade either Billingsley or Kershaw? Maybe Harang returns to form and the Pads trade him? I wouldn’t mind if the Indians were willing to trade Carmona either.

The pickins are gonna be real slim. Not a chance in hell on Bills or Kershaw, you have a better chance at getting Felix then either of them. Erik Bedard, Wandy Rodriguez MAYBE Edwin Jackson would be on the block provided the White Sox absolutely implode in the next 3 months
Rangersfan32 2
Agreed. I’m throwing out the two Dodger aces because I just can’t think of much else that makes sense. Erik Bedard is not a good fit at all. Jeremy Guthrie of the Orioles and Carmona do intrigue me though. Guthrie could be made available with all the young starters they have. Not gonna be much this
Martin Wayne Guerrero
I doubt theres going to be many pitchers who are better then CJ or Colby. Lets hope Webb recovers and can be a good number 3. If not maybe the Brewers are out of it and the Rangers can trade for Greinkie or Gallardo.

In other news, Rangers prospect Tanner Schleppers was placed on the 7-day minor league DL with lower back problems. Supposedly he’d lost velocity this spring; hopefully the rest will help him heal up.
Rangersfan32 2
He’s fine already. He was put on the 7 day DL for precautionary reasons.

The Rangers rotation should be fine for the season, and hopefully Webb will get it together at some point and have good arm strength going into the postseason. At this point, however, I think anything they get from him will be a bonus. Another wild card is Feldman, if he can come back like he was two seasons ago, he’ll be a good addition.
