If the money doesn’t go “crazy”? In other words if he wants a serious discount? The truth is even if Sabathia hits the market he’ll sign with the yanks making Wilson the top FA pitcher. Wilson will likely get far more than he’s worth considering the market and the Marlins interest won’t last beyond the “what’s your first offer” phase.

Whether we want to admit it or not, Loria and the Marlins have the cash…that has been proved in the past by the leaked documents.
Getting them to spend it is a whole separate issue…but it’s now or never with the new ballpark opening. A lefty is a top priority for them, and besides Mark Buehrle, Wilson is the other option. They need a “back up ace” incase Josh Johnson is “done”.

Nationals need to go after Wilson.. Strasburg is going to be on an innings limit next year and he would fit in perfectly at the top of the rotation

Don’t you think it will be way to much money for a team still far from contention

They spent last year for Werth (hasn’t quite worked out well, yet). So, I could see them going after Wilson. Why not? Add the pieces when they are available.
A top three of Wilson, Zimmermann and Strasburg is a solid front end of a rotation.

this clearly means ozzie does not like Dunn…because when guys who ozzie likes/loves struggle they get the same if not more playing time…Pierre, Rios, Visquel, Wise in recent years….
Baseballfan83 2
But no ones struggles have been close to Dunn’s. He is hitting .163/.290/.289, how could he expect anything but a reduction in playing time.

I was joking. I know Dunn should be sat. He should have been sat 2 months ago!

what he said.

Yes, because the money “won’t get crazy” on the best available starting pitcher.Give me a break.
