Being Travis d’Arnaud’s first professional baseball roommate; I can say that his success couldn’t have happened to a better kid. Congrats Travis.
Lunchbox45
A lot of Jay fans are routing for him… but send him a text, let him know its not cool to admit that his favorite show is The Hills.
ESmolin
Believe me, I didn’t let him live it down. I was 22, just graduated college, and I had to listen to him play John Mayer and watch The Hills. Great kid though, good head on his shoulders.
chico65
After that Mayer and The Hills talk, I wasn’t sure where you were going with that head comment
ESmolin
Minus his entertainment tastes; a good head on his shoulders. Figured I’d just clear that up.
Coollet
Future looks bright for BlueJays in the catcher position, i look forward to seeing a rotation between Travis and JP.
ARodinyourPujols
A rotation between those 2 would be terrible. I think that when Travis comes up the Jays should give JP an opportunity to be a full time DH. If he can cut his strikeouts down and actually take a walk once in a while, I think he can become a very good DH.
Lunchbox45
why exactly would that rotation be terrible?? They compliment eachother quite well..
but I’m of the opinion that JP can one day be moved, young cheap controllable sluggers that can catch are a rarity now a days, he would fetch a lot
ARodinyourPujols
I don’t mean it in a production point of view but you have to make one of play everyday at catcher, instead of a rotation where they only play 70 games behind the plate. With young guys like that you have to give them constant playing time, especially behind the plate.
Lunchbox45
Theoretically JP could could get 250 AB’s at DH and 250 at catcher.

Okay Joey, now what did you really learn from Canseco?
0bsessions
Only the juiciest of gossip.

I’ll also have you know that that pun was completely unintentional. Canseco just seems like the MLB equivelant of that one lady in the office who blabs about everything going on.
chico65
You’ve gat that right

Just a couple of quick notes on that Cubs article..
That article on Coppolella is actually from my blog Cubs Den which is a part of Chicago Now. And Coppolella’s title is Director of Baseball Administration.
