The Royals look real solid. I expect the Royals to contend in the central next year IF they somehow get at least 1 or hopefully 2 starting pitchers. Im not exactly sure who at this point, but hopefully they can at least get one. Oh, and Sal Perez is going to be called the best catcher in the AL in the next year or two!

I wonder if they surprise us all and sign CC. Wouldn’t that be something.

Too bad Derek Lowe has found his suckage instead of September magic. Dayton loves making trades with Atlanta.

Royals an up-and-coming team???
What a job has Dayton Moore done of developing this Royals team. Developed some nice position players and now they have a speedy offensive unit capable of slugging out with some of the heavy offenses . Bring in some pitching and this team is complete
My condolences to that man.

The Melk man in line for a 1 year/$5MM+ salary if not a 3 or 4 year deal in the $15-20MM range.

If I were Melky I would just wait it out and pick up more cash in the open market. But thenagain, I don’t know his intentions.

Melky has been quoted as saying he’d like to stay in KC. Says he likes it here and thinks the team is going places. He mentioned that KC gave him a chance when others had given up on him and he’d like to repay that.
All that sounds great and he’s definitely an asset to the team, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him traded for pitching.

I’m proud of Melky. I can’t be mad that he was moved considering the OF we had and the down year he turned in but I always thought he was young enough to still realize his potential. I wish him the best and hope he continues to progess. He’s a good kid.

Rany is such an arrogant hack. I hope he’s better at his day job.
