Goldschmidt will be a 35-40 homer guy with less K’s than Mark Reynolds. Their swings are very similar but Goldschmidt has stronger wrists and better bat control.

i’m just saying Goldschmidt looks great so far but he’s only a rookie and until he’s shown that he can consistantly put up big numbers at the major league level, you don’t know what his numbers will be like. For example, look at Jason Heyward.

Ethier is probably going to make around $13 million this year in his last season before free agency. Not sure what sort of value he has on the trade market, but I’m sure the Dodgers will listen.

I love how fickle baseball people are. Last year at this time there was all kinds of talk about trading Matt Kemp and extending Andre Ethier, now it’s the other way around. What a difference a year makes…
