The Ventura announcement was a bit eye opening, but I have a feeling it won’t matter in 2012, the Sox aren’t in a position to win now, they are too old and locked up in bad contracts, expect to see a lot of rumors at the deadline next year about the Sox.

The sox should trade the following. Danks, Floyd, Thornton, aj, and Quentin. Fill their roster spots by sale, , axelrod, flowers, Santiago, viciedo. Should try
To move Dunn, rios and peavy. Eat half their salaries and tAke low level guys back. Let buehrle walk sign garland to eat innings.

Im down with Floyd, Thornton and Quentin being dealt. I think they should hold on to Danks though since he is the only one with the stuff to be considered an ace. I think they should build the rotation around him with Sale,Humber and Stewart. They can probably dupe someone into taking Peavy and maybe even Rios but I think they are stuck with Dunn. But Im of the belief that out of those three Dunn will be the one to put it all together. I think they should hold on to A.J. to share time with Flowers. Not righty lefty platoon but actually split the AB’s down the middle.
I actually have a crazy notion that they should trade Alexei while they are in the blowing up mood. I think the Yankees would be awfully interested in a shortstop like Ramirez. I would think a package of Gardner,Joba and one of those pitchers that name starts with a B that Yankee fans were slurping all over all summer would be sufficient for a slick fielding shortstop that has 20 homer potential. That would allow them to move Jeter to third and A Rod to DH or Jeter to DH. They could trade Montero for a top line starter and trade A.J. Burnett to the Cubs for Soriano. There G.M.’s I did your work for you this off season. Youre welcome.

Since when has it been a promotion to go from the Red Sox to the Cubs?

Cubs may give him title of President. That’s when.

It’s way too odd that Ordonez talks about feeling good and then breaks his ankle again. So eerie.

Looks like this is the end of the line for you Mags. Too bad you got greedy and decided not to resign with the White Sox before ’05. At least you got to play in a World Series. Adios amigo.
