While Cordero fixed a big problem in the Reds pen during the length of his contract, I have to agree that it is no longer wise to pay him above the level that Nathan recently got. Not because he hasn’t earned it, but because the Reds young players are starting to get more expensive and their budget just can’t afford it.

Honestly if I am the Reds make a 5.5 million offer this year and 6.5 for next year and then make a team option on there and I think he might bight. I know its over the warning level of the post of 5 million but if we really want to keep him around. Like Cordero said the Reds are going to have to up their offer a little.

Not super impressed by Coredero. Good closer but not great closer. 2 years / 13 milly is what I judge his worth at.
