Someone should take a flier on him. His HR/9 rates are a concern but he’s got a decent K/BB ratio

It’s inappropriate for a GM to use something such as a depression, or ADHD, etc as means to determine a players value. I can see if the disorder has gotten in the way of his on field performance. That’s borderline discrimination.

Gotten in the way of his on field performance? Like, say, going on the DL at the end of May and not making another appearance all year?

This wasn’t presented accurately by Andy Martino and MLB Trade Rumors. I read an extensive article on Buchholz a few weeks ago who is doing much better and in it he says he enjoys being with his family and doesn’t know if he wants to remain a baseball player any longer.

Red Sox should give him a shot. Low risk/high reward type of deal.

They should have kept him last year when they claimed him off waivers. Rather, keeping career retreads like Matt Fox, Darnell McDonald, Nate Spears on the 40 man for some reason was deemed more important and they themselves put him on waivers, knowing they needed middle guys like him if healthy.
Then..Maybe should feel good they at least held onto Albers and DID make a deal with another player they outrighted, Andrew Miller to return last season.
I was ecstatic when they claimed Bucholz and could not believe of all those retreads that they protected, could not find one spot for someone with Bucholz potential.
