Brian M
He’s probably making $6 million.
Christopher Soto
Not a very good pitcher. Has an inconsistent arm slot and relies on his fastball, which isnt very good to begin with, WAY too much (if i remember right he threw 16 straight fastballs over 2 appearances)
UncleCharles
Is this there big splash?
EdinsonPickle
Good move for the Yanks! He’ll probably…do…some stuff…or something.
johnsilver
NY must be filling up the clipper’s roster with retreads of their own now.
Patch
Clippers are now the Indians affiliate.
nestleraisinets
this is for the Mitre’s and Proctors’?
Roy Munson
LHRP Depth in AA/AAA.. that’s all
MB923
Strictly will be a LHP. I don’t have his numbers in the minors but career vs. lefties and righties is similar (not a large sample though)
Lefties – .250/.339/.400
Righties – .247/.342/.440
A huge slugging percentage against righties because he’s allowed 16 HR against RHB and just 2 against LHB, although he’s faced a lot more righties (415 PA) than lefties (117 PA).
Probably could have had better options than him though.

Boone Logan, you’re on notice.
TDKnies
Didn’t realize Blanco had so much trouble since leaving the Braves. Hope he can get it together in the minors with the Giants organization.
Tyler 20
i was about to say the same thing he was a half decent player for the Braves wasn’t he? .260 lead off hitter?
TDKnies
Average was never great (~.250) but his OBP was always much better (~.360). Then he spends a year in the KC minors and barely beats the Mendoza line. Wonder if he had a flukishly low BABIP or something?
Quacktastic_Duck
I’m in y’alls corner. I loved Blanco as a Brave, and strongly believed in his small ball style. Hopefully playing in the Giants system which is thin on OFs he may be given another opportunity soon. Heck, that .360 OBP is nothing to scoff at! Best of luck to him on his new team.
TDKnies
After visiting Fangraphs, his career MLB BABIP is ~.330 and last year in the minors it was stupidly lower at ~.240 or something. I guess that makes him a good bounce back candidate?
bigpat
I guess the Mets had to fill their quota of obscenely Italian players.
MetsMagic
Italian catchers are what we do best.

Cole Kimball is good. That’s a head-scratcher.
johnsmith4
yep…I am trying to make sense of it….
bla
Dont bother, Angels fans are still trying to figure out why they aquired Wells. AA is a ninja thats the only thing that makes sense.
2UGGLA2BINTO
101 k’s in 78 innings before being called up, pretty good numbers…did he have a bad attitude?..problems with management?
elbeisbol
Not that I know of. He has a shoulder injury, but if he recovers he’s a very good reliever.
comebackkid814
Have no idea why the Nats let Kimball go… He had the shoulder issue, but he pitched well in limited big league action. -1 Mike Rizzo. -1.
elbeisbol
Zuckerman posted that they were trying to slip him through waivers to free up a roster spot.
FacelessGeneralManager
That sucks, i was really hoping to see him pitch for extended time this year. He is good!!!. Nats 7th or 8th best prospect last year i believe. Dont understand why take the chance.
comebackkid814
Meanwhile…Yunieksy Maya and Corey “AAAA” Brown have 40-man spots… At least Mock and Martis no longer have spots. Mock I know had one as late as the All-Star break and I could only scratch my head and wonder why.
johnsmith4
Wow…strong 40-man roster to let a guy like this (with one season of optional assignments remaining) go on waivers
hallwagner
we need to bring martis back up, i liked him
essmeier
It’s a shame that Carlos Corporan can’t hit better. He’s one of the best I’ve ever seen at blocking the plate.
MetsMagic
I don’t know why the Nationals would risk waiving Kimball. At the worst, he is an excellent ROOGY.
LUWahooNatFan
What the )*)(* Rizzo.. Why would you give up Kimball like that? If he comes back healthy that’s a steal for the Blue Jays..
Guest 6105
what he heck are the nats thinking just letting kimball get claimed off waivers!? He was one of our top prospects with a devasating spliter. i know he had a season ending injury, bus still..
nats2012
Why would you let Cole Kimball get away?
$4555515
rizzo just dropped the ball again 1st riggleman now kimball
nats2012
Riggleman was horrible.
$4555515
any manager that can lead the sorry nationals to a .500 record or god forbid a winning record is a good manager regardless of it only being for the 1st half of the season
Barrettman84
wow Eric Duncan. In 2002.. North New Jersey, dude was a beast for Seton Hall Prep. I remember facing Seton Hall Prep my senior year.. this dude was signing autographs throughout the stadium.
Dude definitely had a big fallout; Supposedly was supposed to be centerpiece to the Randy Johnson, Javier Vasquez; Yankees-D Backs-Dodgers deal.
Andy Klingenberger
Rottino was not with the Mets this past year. He was with the Marlins.
philliesfan136
Anybody got a scouting report/projections on Worthington?
