The Rockies should take a look at Slowey.

If Slowey is Non-Tendered there will be a long line of team taking a look at him.
You would think you could snag a couple Low A fringe prospect projects for a guy like Slowey.
He would make a really nice #4 or 5 guy for teams like the A’s / Houston / Royals this is a head scratcher IMO.

Where does it say anything about the Royals being interested in Slowey?
Dillon Hamill
The Mariners should too. Trade Saunders to the Twins for Slowey. Easy peasy

The Chances of the Indians extending Choo at this point is ZEROOOOOOO Boras has told them twice they would test free agency once Choo was able so that would be a waste to even talk further about it, when Choo hired Boras the Indians had to know it was over.
Kevin Kouzmanoff REALLY ??????????????? last I look we also had a couple strike artist’s on board for the 2012 season LOL .

After his 2011 and soon to be ARB II hearing, Choo may be more willing to sign a short extension.. perhaps his two remaining arbitration years and on FA year. Sometimes, just a weee bit of security can go a LONG way. We shall see.

Seriously?! C’mon DD…show everyone you have a pair and sign a GREAT pitcher to be the fifth in the rotation…you sign a “veteran fifth starter” you get something like Brad Penny…sign a quality guy and go with 5 real pitchers…not 4 and a “guy that can pitch out of the bullpen too”…c’mon already!!! Wanna win? Get Buehrle to be your #5 guy…let him help us instead of beating us…CRIMINY

Nervous about the Tigers turning toward an inhouse solution. Turner needs another year to develop, as does Smyly. Oliver is too wild for the majors, and Crosby is likely going to the pen eventually. The only possible other option I can think of is bringing Below out of long relief, which I don’t think he has enough stuff as a starter. I think most of these pitchers will be ready in the 2013 season, but they still need a bridge to get there, even if it is someone like a Jamie Moyer, just someone at least to compete with the kids.
