It seems like her name has been coming up in the discussion every time an opening arises for over a decade now, it’s about time some team actually gave her a shot.
Too bad Angelos has made the Orioles job so toxic that only Dan Duquette would take it.

Excuse me, but Rachel Phelps was GM of the Cleveland Indians in the 1980’s, hell of a “moneyball” team she put together too

Technically Charlie Donovan was GM.

If she wants a GM job then she needs to get out of the commissioner’s office. I don’t recall very many GMs being hired out of the commish’s office.
Didn’t Sandy Alderson go from the commissioner’s office to becoming CEO of the Padres? Didn’t Frank Coonelly go from the commissioner’s office to becoming president of the Pirates? Names are escaping me, but I can also think of some highly esteemed former AGM types who did stints with MLB.
I think as long as her front office experience is legit, it’s not a problem. And can you blame her for leaving the McCourt Dodgers?

not a ‘big’ enough name to be considered
only 2 letters

Ng for GM. Her name is two letters, the position is typically referred to with two letters…sounds like a match made in heaven to me.
