whats does this piece have to do with lincecum and the giants??????

I like Brandon Philips and hope the Reds can keep him. Don’t understand baseball’s conventional wisdom about closers. Why does it have to be one guy who makes a ton of money to get three outs in the ninth inning? Seems to me this job could be spread around the bullpen generally. In other words, let Cordero go. Good news about Jim Riggleperson. I was really pissed off when the Nationals let him go (although Jim shares the blame for that one).

Maybe quitting your job with the Nats wasn’t that good of an idea, Jim.

I’m surprised Riggleman was offered a Managerial position but AA is low risk

Enjoy the AA job Riggleman, you’ll never manage in the major leagues.

Best bit I’ve heard in a while…love to hear any rumor that involves replacing Dusty Baker. Also glad to hear that BP’s talks are going well. I thought there was a big stink about him not showing up at RedsFest? He was there, of course, and he was the life of the party, as expected. Lame publicity stunt or last minute change of plans?
