He started that back in the winter meetings and refuses to admit there’s no story.

Sponsored in part by the ESPN Insider.
“The ESPN Insider – Why read false rumors started by idiots for free when you can pay to read false rumors started by idiots on our website?”

Can’t believe people actually pay to be an “insider” lol

Marmol is an interesting case. The Cubs got 3 decent players for Marshall. I would argue that Marshall is a higher commodity than Marmol despite the fact that Marmol is more talented, has the pedigree of a “closer”, and is already wrapped up for two more years.
The issue with Marmol is the size of the contract and his overall lack of consistency. I would maintain that if the Cubs got 3 players of the level ilk they did for Marshall. They should get one Grade B type prospect or a major leaguer and one lottery ticket type player. I would consider this a fine booty for him.
Like Garza, I see Marmol as a pitcher that Epstein and Hoyer don’t have to trade at this time. If they simply wait it out, they will probably find a desperate team around the trade deadline. It’s a gamble because there’s a small chance Marmol flames out completely, Jonathon Broxton style, but I think it’s a gamble worth making.

Legitimately the most mature statement I’ve ever seen/heard HanRam make.
