Good point, Madson might be the first example of why not to try a one year deal to re-establish value.

Boras is a slow learner.. Even after getting burned by Varitek and saying *no* to a certain 10m+ payday in 2008 should he have accepted arbitration, then getting stuck with a 2/5m deal, he still has his clients refuse arbitration, so I doubt he will learn anything with 1 year deals either.

Hindsight is 20/20. Calling Boras a slow learner is akin to telling Babe Ruth he needs to hit the ball with a little more authority. Boras is the most successful agent in the history of professional sports. Picking out two mistakes among the multitude of clients he has represented is highly selective criticism.

Boy, the Giants have a lot of crappy hitting infielders.

I know Madison came out and said he wouldnt fire boras, but with all this happening now i wonder if he still sticks with him

Woah, President James Madison is alive and playing for the Reds!?

Yeah, 3B actually. Though I hear they’re trying to get Washington for him. It’s impossible though, Washington has too much trade value.

Getz as the starting second baseman? What happened to Giavotella?
Spencer VonHershman
Yeah, this is a mistake right? No reason Getz would start over Giavotella.
CaseyBlakeDeWitt
Well it appears Getz will start. Giavotella was optioned to Omaha earlier today..

Chase Utley will continue to insist that he will play baseball, as long as some GM insists on subsidizing his time on the DL with a paycheck.
