lefty177
*cough Red Sox cough*
Zombie Romo
He could be their righty specialist…
johnsilver
Another Greg Harris then? One who throws the majority of their career from one side and then later on throws from the other a couple innings?
For what it’s worth.. Shaky, at this point can’t be any worse than some of those guys Boston has.. Padilla and Thomas come to mind..
chris_synan1
Thomas is just a nobody…but Padilla is good, Bobby V has overused him lately
chris_synan1
this is perfect timing and makes sense that the Red Sox sign him
Snoochies8
Oakland, couldn’t be any worse than our lefties at the moment. only brian fuentes has surprisingly done anything decent
edit: except pedro figueroa, he’s an interesting reliever to keep an eye on
UltimateYankeeFan
Let me guess the Red Sox are “looking into” Gonzalez. Or is it “checking out”?
Pat Rick
Interesting that there is no mention of the Cubs. The FO wants to bolster the bullpen, and acquire assets to trade later in the season. Gonzales would be perfect…especially because that pretty much guarantees that he’ll be playing on a playoff team come September.

Wonder if the Tigers might be in there… They just optioned Schlereth
Max Yarnovich
it’s not the redsox, they have rich hill and andrew miller, both lefties, on rehab
not the a’s cuz they have 4 lefties in their bullpen
i was thinking tigers option thad weber, angels option david carpenter 60 michael kohn, or rangers option robbie ross
Snoochies8
the a’s have 4 lefties….1 has done anything this year, and one is a promising rookie, the other 2: 1 has sucked the last couple years, the other one is very very wild

Won’t be the Sox. Someone already said it, but a healthy Rich Hill is their lefty. He was dominant against LH in short time as a reliever.
notin
Who is this Healthy Rich Hill you speak of?
johnsilver
He is working his way back from TJ in the Sox minor league system now, currently 12 months since the surgery.
Hill dropped his delivery down to sidearm and was throwing a nasty curve like 3/4 of the time last year is what some are saying led to him blowing out his arm and was what made him so nasty vs lefties before hand. Time will tell how long his arm holds up once he gets back before he blows it out again. Watch his new delivery and you will see why.. It’s maximum effort and totally different from how he used to throw,

I smell the Tigers, too.

Did you forget to clean their cage again? Those mariner scraps are only going to add to the mess.
