Pelfrey looked like he turned it around in his last start. But I think he just threw his last pitch as a Met.

You could be right. And he seemed to look good this year, now this – hope it’s not season ending!!

Oh it’s season ending. I tore my UCL and it didn’t heal for 13 months.
It was bad

I tore mine and continued to play and am still playing to this day. It is quite painful but you can manage playing at a high level with it until you have a complete tear which he reportedly does not have. however, with the way mets recover from injuries, his year is over

Wow, I didn’t realize . . . they were more tentative tonight on Mets Pregame – I was hoping, but you guys would know. Bummer.

Your screen name – very funny !!

Jason Bay struggles to hit because he’s unable to generate bat speed to get the ball past the infield and hitting lots of ground balls. This is partially due to age – he is 33 years old – and injuries.

I feel bad for him. Was hoping he might turn it around this year, now he’s hurt again. He seems like a nice guy, and tries so hard in spite of his difficulties.

He still has the massive contract to deal with. I believe he would benefit from this DL stint. Once he returns, I strongly believe he should spend time in AAA to rediscover his swing before he returns to the Mets.

So much for that best rotation in NY Bill Madden!
