Actually it’s not a bad idea for the Braves, Oswalt is better than Delgado, Teheran, and Jurrjens right now.

Would love to see Oswalt on the Braves but I don’t think they would spend the money necessary to get him.

Maybe time to pursue Wandy again? If he keeps pitching like this, the Astros are going to get a good bounty for him this year, maybe Myers too. Both are looking good.

I’m not saying Oswalt will be a life savor for the Sox pitching, but at some point they might want to bring him in. I like Bards potential in the rotation and he has done well overall, but we all know his true value is in the late innings.

I dunno about Atlanta getting Roy Oswalt. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense
coolstorybro222
well if JJ keeps having mental issues, it could be a option.

Can tu tries in AAA be enough to crack the Rockies for Jorge?
kjbaune
Atlanta makes perfect sense for a serious playoff run. Oswalt, Hudson, Hanson, Beachy, and if Jurrjens gets back, that is one solid starting 5. With Medlen, Delgado, and Teheran in the wings to make spot starts here and there. We could cut loose Durbin.
Braves1976
Agreed. He should be cheaper for just half a season too. Plus, signing him makes it easier to part with JJ at one of the trade deadlines later this season, should JJ improve his trade value enough by that time.
Regarding Durbin, he was a terrible signing in the first place and should be dropped ASAP. We have a number of better options in AAA to fill his spot till Moylan is ready too.
BravesNomad
Not to nitpick but you forgot about Minor. At this point he’s been more valuable than JJ.
