I’m glad Harper doesn’t want to leave Washington after, what, 5 minutes?
Thurman8er
Guess what, Brycie-Boy…Trout doesn’t want to leave Anaheim either.

Tomorrows headline: Mike Trout traded to the Washington Nationals for a bag of brand new baseballs. The move clears up space on the field for stud outfielder Vernon Wells.
Thurman8er
Nah, we fired Reagins.

Man, could you imagine the two of them in the same lineup though a few years from now when they’re both a little more seasoned? That’s a serious five-tool outfield.

thatd be unfair haha
vtadave
Yeah I could see that.

Harper is the favorite for Rookie of the Year but Wade Miley could steal his thunder.

”
on track to finish the season with a historically high OPS for someone so young.” There’s a whole lot of baseball to be played before the end of the season.
But, of course its Bryce Harper…the media’s favorite.
Jason_F
The media report on what people want to hear and read about. Are you suggesting that they ignore a 19 year old more than holding his own at the major league level? If that’s not baseball newsworthy, then I don’t know what is…
blh2010
yeah Harper and Pujols said he never wanted to leave STL…….baseball heaven I believe he called it, we know how that turned out, if Harper keeps hitting the way he’s been going in 5-10 yrs he will price himself out of Washington

dont the nats have one of the richest owners in all of baseball? I dont see that happening (unfortuantely) for the Nationals organization.

If Galvis still logs 1000 innings, what are the chances of the rookie winning a gold glove? The kid is magic with the glove.

Did Ichiro win a gold glove his rookie year?
Jason_F
Yes, to go along with his MVP, ROY, Silver Slugger and All Star selection. That’s hard to top…

people forget how amazing that guy is!
dylanp5030
Slim cuz Gold Gloves are offensive awards now a days.
Jason_F
Gloves don’t win you rookie of the year. Especially when you have the worst wOBA of any qualified rookie in all of MLB.
Edit: Oops….read that wrong.
Phillies_Aces35
Slim to none he wins a gold glove… which is a shame. It’s a popularity contest and Freddy’s not popular enough.
roomwithamoose
wouldn’t it be just awesome if people who earned it, actually get the gold glove. I would rather have brett Gardner get the 2 he deserved than Jeter get any of his. In a perfect world it would be based on merit, not popularity…
hoagiebuchanan
That truly is a shame. By golly did you see that over the shoulder catch he made last night? You won’t see an infielder make a better play in the grass! ROY!! GG!! *Calms inner-homer*
Snoochies8
It’s also because he doesn’t quite hit well enough to win a gold glove
Phillies_Aces35
Which is terrible.

Retire a Blue Jay Doc. Its the only way.
