I’m surprised I haven’t seen more people take note of the fact that Beckett got thrown out of a game he wasn’t even pitching in the other day, standing up for Will Middlebrooks. That action, I thought, ran very counter to the “bad clubhouse guy” image he’s gotten, even though I’m still a little iffy on him.

Compared to Manny’s clubhouse issues, Beckett has been a ray of sunshine

The Sox need an RH OF…?

With Sweeney out for a while
Blanketsburg
Sweeney is left-handed, so it wouldn’t matter regardless.
Kyle Hamilton
After his sucky offseason trades, Cherington does nothing at the deadline. Get rid of this bum.
Devern Hansack
Dude…there are a couple hours to go.

What do you want him to do? Their chances of making the playoffs aren’t good enough to add anything significant, and anyone they would consider trading is at a point where their value is low for one reason or another; basically sitting it out and making minor tweaks around the edges is the best course of action right now.

My friend thinks Garza will be acquired along with D.Hudson. D.Hudson will be sent to the Cubs for Garza,
cyberboo
If the Jays acquired Daniel Hudson, what GM in his right mind would trade him for Garza, a number four starter on any team, except those without starters, then he moves up to being a 2 or 3. Hudson would be controlled for a few years, low salary, Garza – one season, expensive. You do the math. lol.
stever
Garza is signed through next year dude.

your friend must not realize that the dbacks are looking to trade FOR pitching not give it up.

Hariston to Boston would be interesting, no interest in Soriano (defensive liability)
J. C. Hahne
RH Outfielder??? Vernon Wells for John Lackey…
