A real shame that Gee had this happen to him.
Tko11
So Miguel Bautista is supposed to take over for him?? That cant be good

Wouldn’t surprise me if now that it looks like the rest of the season that Harvey gets called up. If ended up just being 1 or 2 starts I think they would have just went with Bautista instead of potentially wasting an option year and having to make a 40 man move but I can’t pitcher them going with Miquel for the rest of the year.

If calling up Harvey means they increase their chances at the playoffs, I don’t think they should look at service time.

Harvey is the clear choice, let Wheeler compete next year

Gee will probably be out for the rest of the season so I would not object to bringing up Harvey for the remaining six to eight weeks. I am concerned Harvey might not yet be ready to face major league hitters though.

If you aren’t going to bring him now then what do you have him for?
He HAS to be the play now.

Two words: Mike Pelfrey.

I agree. I hate to see that happen to anyone. He looked really good against the O’s a few weeks back. I was hoping that the O’s could do something against him after going against Dickey and Santana the first two games but he came in and pitched very well. Sad sad sad.

Athletes should take a close look at Chipper. He is doing everything exactly the way he should in his final year. Stay with the team that drafted you, say all the right things, and go out with class. Bravo.

I have never been a Braves fan but I hope that Chipper finishes strong and healthy, goes into the HOF on the first ballot, and has a successful 2nd career and retirement!

I totally agree with you, jammin502
jammin502
Wow, White Sox fan and Cub fan agreeing on something lol!

Oh, no no no. I changed my mind, I totally disagree with you now. Forget everything I said before.

I’m going to miss Chipper. He’s been on the diamond for what seems like forever and a day. I’m glad he’s getting to go out on his terms though, and he’s gotten a great send off in his final year with the All-Star game and his farewell tour.

I would have thought when Chipper retires, that he would want to become the next spokesperson for Hooters.
esasc4
cheap shot.

I’m sure that’s exactly what Larry’s first wife said.

Chipper: part-time roving hitting instructor for a few seasons (if he really is tired of living out of a suitcase) before becoming a major league hitting coach. It seems too obvious.
