Indians Release Chris Ray

  • The Indians announced that right-hander Chris Ray was granted his release from Triple-A Columbus today.  The 30-year-old posted a 4.68 ERA with 6.1 K/9, 3.3 BB/9 and a 46% ground ball rate in 32 2/3 innings for the Mariners in 2011.

I actually remember this kid who was suppose to be the future closer in Baltimore…   Still might be with his AAA stats this year.   And the Yankees are in on rumors in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
