Looking better for Cliff to get moved
davbee
Not if the Phils aren’t paying a good chunk of his salary it doesn’t.
Jimcass134
If Amaro is serious about restocking the farm I expect them to pick up a very big chunk of it
JasonM
Also could mean that Amaro is not liking the potential prospects he is being offered in exchange for Victorino and Pence.
Jimcass134
Victorino isn’t going to net any top guys but Pence should and probably will get atleast one top guy. If not then they trade everyone else that’s been linked to other teams, including Cliff and just hang on to Pence and trade him in the off season.
erm016
Pence shouldn’t bring much, he’s not exactly lighting it up this year. But as normal, one good year makes someone a superstar.
JasonM
Exactly. Pence is a nice player, but i get the feeling that Philly fans are expecting a Pence trade to totally revive there farm system. And that is not going to happen. No matter if Hunter is dealt today, tomorrow, or durning the winter.

Wow I’m really shocked. Totally thought he was getting traded after reading all these reasonable packages the Marlins were asking for…..
Glad to see all this time dedicated to him every day on here only for us to know now what we knew last week.

I thought for sure the Marlins would move Johnson, but if they aren’t getting reasonable return offers, they are better off keeping him.

Anyone could’ve seen this coming. The Marlins’ asking price was just too high for any team to bite.
