Reds have won 9 straight without Votto, so I don’t see a need to make a big move. The only moves I see would be a LH bench bat or AAA SP depth at this point.
Shane Maples
I don’t know if they are concerned with a bench bat as much as they were as recently of last week. Xavier Paul has been great in his short time off the bench. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see us acquire Victorino but I’d rather not.
Brandon 20
Pierre or Span are the ONLY upgrade I’d make at this point unless there was some magical, unbelievable deal that fell into our lap.
Gunner65
I’d replace Pierre with Bonifacio on your short list. Other than that I totally agree
Josh Mohr
NO MOVES.. Xavier Paul is the LH OF bench bat, we have SP depth, leave this team alone, the chemistry is amazing. 60-40, 20 games over .500, 9 in a row without the best hitter in the game, Reds are here to stay.
Shane Maples
No way the Reds would make Bailey available we’re just now seeing him healthy.
jill
I agree. Bailey’s finally put it together, and yes, it took a loooooong time. They suffered his growing pains and now they got a nice pitcher in return. I could see them trying to move Leake before they would try to move Bailey.

Sure wish wren would look at miley, norris, lester

You trade a player when he has upside and is hot aka bailey. im not sure it would be a great move on the reds part to trade bailey since he is finally healthy and the reds are in first place. However if trading bailey led to the likes of a shields type starting pitcher to follow Cueto in the playoffs im all for it. Who knows how long bailey will keep performing this well.

I wish Ken Rosenthal would stop trying to drag Felix Hernandez name into trade talks. Unless a team is willing to approach the Mariners with 4 major league starting hitters, I wouldn’t even waste my time listening. Felix has said numerous times he wants to stay in Seattle and the M’s appear to be willing to extend him again for $20mil per year on his next contract.
Dogham
Only team with the high potential prospects worth the M’s even considering would be with the Atlanta Braves. A package of Julio Teheran RHP, Arodys Vizcaino RHP, Sean Gilmartin LHP, Christian Bethancourt C, Andrelton Simmons SS would at least worth be speaking to the Braves. If Felix would go to the Braves they would surpass the Nats and be in contention for years to come.
Jason Schiffman
Doubtful we trade Miley. Would love to see what other teams would offer for him though.

So tired of seeing Felix’s name in these. M’s GM has said no and most other team execs appear to have that message. The beat writers such as Rosenthal need to clean out their ears as well and get that message also. Sensationalism is one thing but at this point it boarders on ridiculous that his name keeps popping up.

dont see how pitching is an area of strength for the dbacks when we have the best hitting team statistically in nlwest yet we are 3rd in division… prospects are prospects, theres a reason bauer didnt stay up, and why corbin was sent down, and skaggs hasnt come up yet. Im tired of people saying were loaded with pitching.
