Outrighted To Triple-A: Evan Meek

  • The Pirates outrighted right-hander Evan Meek to Triple-A Indianapolis, according to the team's website. Pittsburgh removed the 2010 All-Star from the 40-man roster one week ago, designating him for assignment. Meek, 29, made 12 relief appearances for this year’s Pirates team but spent most of this year with Indianapolis, where he posted a 2.74 ERA with 8.0 K/9 and 5.1 BB/9 in 46 innings of relief work.

Hope Meek catches on with an MLB team next year! He’s very tough to hit but had poor control except in 2010.

His mph has been bad since he had a shoulder injury last year. Even with that being said I wanted(or want after the season ) the Brewers to go after Evan.

Stunning! He had Houston written all over him. There has to be more about his poor performance this season for him not to get picked up…
