Outrighted To Triple-A: Ryan Adams

  • The Orioles announced that they outrighted Ryan Adams to Triple-A Norfolk (Twitter link). The Orioles removed the infielder from their 40-man roster earlier in the week after he posted a .225/.317/.348 batting line in 279 plate appearances across three minor league levels this year. Adams, 25, appeared in 29 games with the Orioles in 2011.

Never liked his music but thought he’d become a decent major leaguer. Back to the music now, I guess.

He has a bat and can hit. He had a significant injury this year and never got on track. He came out slow, and then fractured the thumb. Then tried to come back in short season, up never really got it going. So his numbers aren’t totally representative of his ability. It’s under 250 ABs split up between an injury.
