Good for Giambi. Hope he gets the job. Even if he gets canned because their team is awful again, he gets some experience under his belt and can look elsewhere.
Aj Cluck
I’m surprised Oquendo’s name hasn’t come up with the Marlins job. He’s paid his dues, comes from a winning organization, and would connect with the community in Miami in a way Guillen did not.
P.J. Lowry
So would Sandy Alomar Jr.

Please let miami get BV. I know they saud he wasnt an option but that would just be funny. How many people could he throw under tge bus down there uf things didnt go well

Pat Hentgen should be considered for the Blue Jays Manager job, the guy would be great for the team.
suhiscrazierthanyou
he’s already been eliminated due to lack of experience
Jesus
I heard that on the Fan 590 this morning….. too bad though, gotta love that the guys really wants the job, and wants to be in Toronto.
suhiscrazierthanyou
Definitely. It’s too bad the timing was off in that Hentgen wants a higher profile job now and not 2 years ago…
Clearly he wouldn’t have been worse than Farrell

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Loria hired Valentine? Say that as a Marlins fan, but after he already hired one head case in Guillen, kept him around after mouthed off with those racial comments before last season began and all the other moves and decisions he makes that make absolutely -0- sense.. Hiring Valentine fits right in..
Just hire Mikey Lowell, or talk him into it somehow Loria.. Do something right for a change.

Hire Mike Lowell and not just because hes Cuban!
John Michael Bryant
He’s not Cuban, he’s Puerto Rican.
johnsilver
His BR page says PR, but I thought he was of Cuban heritage as well….. Pretty sure he is even..

“Mike was born in Puerto Rico to Carl and Beatriz Lowell on February 24, 1974. His parents were born in Cuba, and are of Irish and Spanish ancestry.”

Yeah I always thought he was Cuban for some reason but I just looked it up his parents were born in Cuba and he was born in Puerto Rico. So hes Cuban blood but a citizen of Puerto Rico. Either way if the Marlins decide to go with that approach I think it would be quite ironic because of what Ozzie said about Castro. I like Lowell and hopefully he will have success as a manager if he gets the job.

I’m sure Walton & Murphy will be back…now we just need to see if Butterfield is coming or going, hire Sandy Alomar Jr. as a coach, have Roberto Alomar come out of the offices to be 1st or 3rd base coach or even bench coach…anybody but Don Wakamatsu for manager lol hence why Mariners didn’t keep him on staff.
