Questionable decision to extend a guy who have obvious severe health issues. Hate for something to happen with Baker.

The Red Sox don’t NEED a guy with “extensive managing experience.” They need someone who can manage a *clubhouse*, keep guys focused, and work with the pitching to get it back on track. The first two are all about personality, not experience, and the third point is something a catcher knows plenty about already.

I’m all for Ausmus, it’ll definitely be interesting choice and one that I think can work. Then again, I’ll also be happy with Wallach or Tony Pena.
