Am I think only one that thinks the Sox are stupid giving that much to Peavy? Have they learned nothing? This one will bite them…guaranteed.

I want to know if all the little injuries are what has been keeping Ethier from hitting lefties (he used to hit them well at the beginning of his career) or the league adjusted to him and he’s never re-adjusted. If it’s the latter, I’m o.k. with the dodgers trading Ethier because he’s just a really really good platoon player that’s being paid like a starter with a more well rounded game. I’m also partial to moving Kemp to RF to save his legs and putting someone else in center if the opportunity arises. Ethier is really a left fielder. Post hammy and considering the extension he has, it’d be safer for the organization to move Kemp to right ASAP.
The headline about trading Ethier may also have something to do with how the organization views how quickly Puiig is going to be ready and how good he is likely to be. If this is the case that’s pretty exciting.

Blogging Mets – He didn’t account for the 1.2(ish) million going towards Bobby Bonilla until 2035.
