Bit surprising they didn’t offer Napoli a qualifying offer. Wouldn’t think he would accept it because he is still pretty valuable. He can play catcher a couple times a week, 1B rest, and still hit 30 hr with a solid obp, even if he did accept it, throw in $4M and he instantly become a pretty good trade chip.. It certainly helps his stock quite a bit.

Napoli is the guy I want them to resign on offense.

he hit 224 with below avg defense. he would’ve accepted the offer. why offer almost 14m to him when you could get him cheaper, or even go after a russell martin.

I wouldn’t mind Boston going after Hamilton on a high average annual salary deal for a short period of years. They have a protected pick in the first round so they really wouldn’t lose out on much. Probably wont happen, but he can help win now without ruining the future if its on short years.

for a short period of years? if thats all it took, he would stay with the rangers. hes looking for 7/175 range.

Come on down to the other Texas team, Napoli.
