Good idea. Cubs building a potentially lock down pen.

Typical Cubs move. Take a guy who one of the best organizations in baseball deemed damaged goods when they signed him after already being injured. If anyone knows a steal it’s the Rays.
Joey Doughnuts
When did the Rays sign Jesse Crain exactly?
GrilledCheese39
He was traded from the White Sox to the Rays at the trade deadline last year
Joey Doughnuts
And since when are a trade and a signing the same thing?
Raysfan77
He was warming up for the rays and was ready to pitch one game when they were behind but they tied it so they didn’t put him in, that’s the closest he got to pitching with us lol
BENT_WOOKIE
may as well.

As a Rockies fan I watch almost everything the Cubs do jealously
JustFatOlMe
Why,you like older injured players?

As a Cubs fan I want Carlos Gonzalez
Trock
And Tulo!

I wanted to say him, too. He’s just injured too much and we have a pretty set infield, whether or not all the prospects pan out lol

Those home/away splits, though…

He hit .332 away from Coors field last year. Seems to be quite an improvement, even though he won’t sustain it.

Last year was an aberration, for sure. Career OPS is over 200 points better at home than on the road. YIKES.

One of the Rays’ all-time greats will finally get a chance to prove himself!

could end up in Houston. he has a home just outside of the area. Good buy for the Stros..then flip him come playoff time.
