No relation to Happy Hairston? Didn’t think so.

Good for Jerry. He was a player that was very easy to root for.

Good luck jerry! I appreciated his brief time in the Bronx.

The guy made a lot of money being a journeyman utility player. Good on him.

I look forward to watching him on the MLB network. He did some guest appearances this year and was pretty good.

I will remember him for a double play he turned with Morse’s help.

One of my all-time favorites, as completely silly as that sounds. Loved JHJ and wish him the best in the booth.

Congrats to Jerry on a solid career. He was an exciting part of the 2010 Padres team. Was very fun to watch and always giving it 100%.

Talk about versatility. Jerry had only one more position to play, and now he’s done it — sports broadcaster!
Jeffy25
Very easy to like him.
Professional, bright, articulate.
Will be a good broadcaster.

Wow… some seriously good MLB genes in that family! He had a good solid career and lived the dream, and good to him for that.

I always have respect for Jerry Hairston Jr. He helped a lot during the Yankees 2009 WS run. My favorite utility player of all time.
