thank you for replying.
charles m.
think of choi of a sin soo choo but better on base percentage and younger and tyler pike 19 years old from double a clinton 7-4 2.39 era

Choo had an OBP of .423 last year (good for 4th in the MLB and 2nd in the NL) I don’t think Choi can be said to be Choo with better OBP!
MB923
You sure about that? Choo’s career OBP is .389.
charles m.
in the 3 years that choi has been in the minor leagues his career obp is 411 so yea i am sure
Rally Weimaraner
Minor League stat don’t always (in fact normally don’t) translate to the MLB. For example Brandon Wood hit 20-40 HR a year in the minor and then hit 18 in 5 MLB seasons. Mike Tout (the best player in the MLB) saw his OBP drop 25 points when he moved up to the MLB.
Bottom line minor league stats are NOT MLB stats!

Funny thing is Trout stunk when he was first called up in 2011.. I use that fact when people complain about a young players struggles in his first taste of big leagues..
brocnessmonster
Giancarlo is already too expensive for Miami. Haha
teufelshunde4
Smart move by Fins to overpay and attempt to buy some goodwill. Still think Stanton will be a Ranger by midseason or next.
Rally Weimaraner
The Choo signing and the Fielder/Kinsler trade very well may have taken TEX out of the running for Stanton. They have a highly paid impact bat in the OF and 1B now and after trading Kinsler they can no longer include Profar in a trade for Stanton.
alphabet_soup5
If they really wanted to they could trade Profar, I doubt the Marlins would object if Texas wanted a MLB 2B back. Nobody major just someone you can pencil in everyday.
teufelshunde4
Rangers have the prospects for Stanton still.
alphabet_soup5
Stanton-Fielder would probably be the best #3 and #4 hitters in the game.

Don’t be surprised if you see a deal between the Dodgers and the Marlins in which Stanton and Puig change uniforms. It would be beneficial to both clubs, and certainly looks doable, and desirable for both clubs for rather obvious reasons.
cjr45
Puig will have to mature a lot before any trade happens.
