From all giants fans, thank you brooks conrad!

From Braves fans, can we just move on?
Paclypse71
Kind of overshadowed his game-winning grand slam.

It’s pretty sad that they needed so much help to beat a Braves team without Chipper Jones, Martin Prado, Kris Medlen and Jair Jurrjens due to injuries. And I still can’t believe Conrad was at second instead of Infante.

Remember when Brandon Wood was one of the most regarded prospects in the game? Yeah, safe to say that never worked out.

Surprised to see he is still only 28. Hey, that’s a big age for fluke years, maybe he can salvage something yet.

Brandon Wood in the Cal League (High-A) in 2005:
43 HR
98! XBH
1.055 OPS
Guess we should have been more concerned about the .38 BB/K ratio he had that year.

with toronto blue jays being a larger market team. while rogers owns the team and sportsnet which airs there games how much money are they raking in. Its gota be huge . Perhaps like go get us Ubaldo & Tanaka type huge.
Seriously though can anyone take an educated guess.

Why sign players but not invite to spring training ? Do they smell?
rundmc1981
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Sure, it’s a job for a 34-year old who put up bad numbers in the Far East, but that just means he doesn’t have a shot until the season starts.

Because there’s only a month’s worth of major league level games and there’s just not enough innings for everyone to get a look. It comes down to; would you rather see possible up-and-comers get ABs/innings or a has-been/never-was take up those ABs/innings?
