Marlins and Cubs match up perfectly as trade partners. Cubs surplus of IF prospects and Marlins surplus of pitching prospects

I agree with the Marlins. Keep the starters they have and let the position players earn their place on the team. Why strengthen other teams when it isn’t called for at the time. Injuries happen and by having the starters, the Fish have an advantage over other teams that struggle to fill the void when players get hurt. 2015 at the earliest should be the time to see if a pitcher becomes available, not 2014, when prospects still need more time in the minors.

I agree and the marlins will have a better year this year with furcal salty and jones. Stanton will have a good year too despite of the trade rumors

They’re only interested in trading a few players… i.e. Salty, probably Cishek, Furcal, and Jones. You know guys actually making more than 500k.

Salty, Furcal, and Jones can’t be traded until June 1 since they signed as free agents.

When’s the trade deadline again?

FYI: I decided to click on Jose Fernandez’ link and found that it goes to another Jose Fernandez who played for the Expos and Angels in 1999 and 2001.

That’s good knowledge by you.
