I think the Twins need to just let Aaron Hicks play as they aren’t going to contend this year and the Twins need to just let him play and try to figure this out at the Major League Level to determine if he fits the future plans

That’s not a bad idea usually, but they tried that last year, and Hicks got worse as the season went on. His superslump even extended to AAA during the second half of the season.

They gave him 81 games last year and he never got his average even close to .200. The team already has to carry Florimon and can’t really carry Hicks as well. One of them needs to be sent down now. At least Hicks can earn walks and has shown that he can hit real well in the minors. Florimon has absolutely no upside. Oh and we’re currently 1 game out of first so let’s stop all this nonsense how this is a wasted season anyway so just let him play.

Unassisted Triple Play
Hicks has been flat…out…terrible! If the Twins had any idea that this is what they would be getting from him at the ML level there is NO CHANCE they would have traded Ben Revere. Byron Buxton can’t get get here fast enough!
Unassisted Triple Play
Oh and they may have considered keeping Denard Span as well although I think Alex Meyer is the real deal so I’m ok with that one.

Denard was getting too expensive so he had to go. Besides, that was a very nice trade for the Twins.
On the other hand, it sure would be nice having Revere leading off right now. I’m not sold on May, and Worley…well.
Let’s not forget Carlos Gomez and how he fits into all of this.

Aside from last season’s Spring Training, Hick’s has been unspeakably awful at the plate. I’ve never seen a guy foul off so many hittable pitches in my life. If the ball is in the core of the strike zone, it’s almost a dead certainty that Hick will foul it off. No joke.

I really like Aaron Hicks and hope he turns it around, he obviously has the talent to do it and be at minimum a really good player.

I can’t understand Aaron Hicks. By all accounts, he’s a stand-up guy and he gives a classy interview, but he looks so disinterested while playing.
Just yesterday, Gardy and Co. had to have a talk with him about it. On today’s broadcast, they said the coaches thought he looked “dazed” on the field on Saturday. “Dazed” is one of the last things I’d like to be described as if I were a ballplayer.
