His All-Star appearance was with the Pirates, just a heads up on a minor oversight in the OP.
Dave Pierce
Tigers are the Pirates North anyway (at least that’s the moniker they got in the 2006 World Series around the Burgh).
CB Coach
Correct. He was typing fast, he meant the Pirates.

Oh no, the ‘Meek’ster has been been disinherited!
CB Coach
The Baltimore bullpen is not for the Meek!
Big Giant Head
The Meek shall inherit the earth.

Thanks Meek for possibly grooving Jeter’s last hit at YS for a walkoff.

Guys like this are always fascinating. How do you go from being a fringe guy that couldn’t make a 40 man roster, to figuring it out for a year and becoming an All-star, then effectively becoming a fringe player who can’t make a 40 man roster at age 31? I guess it’s a pretty narrow divide between being good player and a marginal player – wonder if that provide inspiration for him (I was an AS, I can be again) or if it is haunting (why can’t I get guys out anymore?)

If I were any GM, I would put a waiver claim on Vitters. Too early to give up on.
Bleed_Orange
I was kinda thinking the same thing… but not ‘any’ GM, a team like the Astros or Mets who are rebuilding and can afford to lose the roster spot
oh Hal
Its been 2 or 3 years, but I can remember prospect evaluators gushing over Vitters’ swing.
