There’s a guy named Juan, who lives in Walton Hills, OH, who might be good for this job.

how much do i get paid if i automate the process? doubt you use MS SQL but it’s all mostly the same
martinfv2
We will not be giving the person a spreadsheet full of names and numbers to enter in somewhere…they need to look at each post on MLBTR, assess its transaction type, and see if any required data is missing and why. I guess technically some system could analyze the words in the posts and do it, but I’m not interested in that.

I sent an e-mail today. Let me know if you would like a resume. Thanks.

I guess the pay works out to about $3.33 a day. Does the successful applicant get stock options?
A_Berg_Thing
Or at 6-7+ hours a month, $13-15+ per hour…
martinfv2
$10-20 an hour, I’d say.
Zachary Bohn
How does this work? As in where exactly would we be putting the data into?
martinfv2
Our database.

Also would you guys want like a small resume or just an email?

Sounds like a simple way to help out my favorite website, but I imagine I take too many vacations for this.
Melvin Mendoza, Jr.
This is perfect, now I can recoup all the lost income I incur when I get fired for browsing MLBTR too much at work

What type of database knowledge is required? Any experience with a specific syntax needed?
martinfv2
No, we have a custom thing that you’d log into. There’s nothing tricky about it.

How do we apply?
Chiburgh
If you’re interested, please apply by emailing mlbtrdata@gmail.com and explaining why you are the best person for the job.

Damn, this job sounds right up my alley, but I don’t think I’d be able to devote the necessary time as I’m actively searching for other jobs right now and I have no idea how much I’d be able to access MLBTR from work if I got a different job than the one I have 🙁
Ryan Lehman
Hi Tim. Just emailed mlbtrdata@gmail.com. I’m happy to pass along a resume if you’d like. I look forward to hearing from you.
Shawn Ryder
Sent you an email a little while ago. 😉

Man, it would be a dream to have a job baseball-related but I’m working the part time circuit and thus, can not guarantee that I would be available every single day at noon CST.
Tanthalas
You don’t have to be available right at that time, the work simply needs to be done by that time.

*Like this status if you think I should be the data entry person for mlbtr.*
Steve Corbett
I wish I had the ability to commit to something like this. Get paid $100 a month for assisting a website you frequent a dozen times a day, anyways. Sweet. But I work two jobs and occasionally sleep.
Kyle Tomko
Seems kinda underpayed…
dazedatnoon
Who wouldn’t like to get paid to do baseball related work??? I can read this stuff for hours!
Joe Goodin
When should we expect to hear back if we recieve the job? I’ve been checking my email hourly since I applied!
