Furosemide is not a PED, its a diuretic, Its banned because it can be used to accelerate the clearance of PED metabolites and help players pass a test. There are a million medical reasons to take Furosemide, but I imagine if he had a legitimate one he would appeal

If he had a legitimate medical reason for taking it, all he had to do was inform the league office and provide documentation from his doctor, and he’d be in the clear. It’s a very commonly prescribed drug, and absolutely not a PED.
Probably another idiot taking Stanozolol, who decided a diuretic might get it out of his system quicker.

Furosemide is not a PED, it’s a diuretic that can be used to mask the use of PEDs. Unless MLB considers dehyrdrating yourself enhancing your performance.
