Showcasing Gee seems to be a bad way to go, better off hiding him
Anthony CARATURO
Exactly, the
More teams see the
More YOURE not getting anything for him
Seamaholic
They’re gonna have to either take some salary back or eat half his pay. Just no market for a mediocre, out of options starter making $5m+.
sdsuphilip
it’s amazing to me how he was built up as a pretty big trade piece in the offseason by writers
Out of place Met fan
That is the going rate for second rate starters in FA.
A 4A OF/ roster filler and a distant prospect should be attainable

In other words, they have no interest in trading him to the Yankees. Why would anyone trade with them is beyond me.
Sleeper
Why such an aversion to trading with a particular team? Kind of odd.
RippinNTearinAB
Because they have nothing worthy to give!
Sleeper
“Nothing worthy to give” It’s not like we’re talking Jordan Zimmerman, it’s Dillon Gee we’re talking. Regardless, they actually do have pieces other teams would want, should they consider shopping them/find an area of need.
RippinNTearinAB
Haha, I’m talking about Peraza trade to the Yankees!
Sleeper
Oh, misunderstood there, my apologies man. Still, they have the pieces to make a fair deal should ATL bite. Judge for Peraza would be a “fair” deal, but both sides would probably balk at it.
Brixton G.
I was just about to say that. BA has Peraza at 54th on the top 100 list, while Judge comes in at 53. Fits both team’s needs.
Clayton Wilson
I’d make that trade in a heartbeat if I were Hart. Judge would immediately become the best hitter in the Braves system. I have high hopes for Peraza, but the Braves have no power in their farm. And I think Peterson will hold his own at 2B.
No way it happens though.
Sleeper
I think there are two things that would make this deal tough for the Yankees. For one, they see the raw potential in Judge and his readiness timetable matches up rather well with Beltran’s contract. Secondly, they still have Refsnyder in the system, whose offense has been very impressive but his adjustment to second hasn’t been seamless(although they could theoretically shift him back to the outfield), which probably brought on all of this talk in the first place
rundmc1981
Just wait Ozhaino Albies. They could trade Peraza not lose a beat.
MendoTrevor
So true. No power comes to mind other than Tanner Murphy and he’s a couple years out and a catcher.. Sure it will be a focus of the draft in June.

Syndergaard is still only 22, yet it feels like we’ve been waiting an age for his promotion. Shows how far advanced the kid is.
MendoTrevor
Seems like there would be better match for trades than the Yankees for peraza.
