I’m glad they cleared up the paperwork. Atlantic League is close enough for RAJ to scout. He may need some bodies anywhere he can get them if he trades half the team by the deadline.

I like this a lot. I’ve been a fan of the Atlantic league for awhile, and some of my experiences at those games impacted how I view baseball and baseball players overall.
When I lived in Philadelphia, the law firm I worked for has season tickets to the Phils, and I’d go to games when ever I could. (I’m a Yankee and pirates fan but I love baseball first and foremost). I would go to the games as soon as I got out of work and sometimes I got to bs with some of the players. One of those players was Pedro Feliz. We chatted him up about 2 dozen times that year, nothing serious, just hey how are ya type things. The next year he was no longer with the Phillies, but rather playing in the Atlantic league for the Camden river sharks. One day I was over in Camden with the guy I usually went to games with and we decided to pop into a river sharks game and see how he was doing. We got there about the third inning and yelled lets go Pedro when he came to the on deck circle, he looks up, sees that it was us, and his eyes shoot open so wide and a huge smile comes across his normally stoic face, like a kid on Christmas.
I was 27 when that took place, and it was the first time I remember seeing baseball players for what they really are, human beings. That interaction changed how I look at baseball and then men that play. I now enjoy baseball so much more than I ever thought I could and it’s all bc of Pedro Feliz and the Camden river sharks.
