Samarjaad is the 4th best starter that’s probably available, I think it makes a ton of sense for the white sox to move him now to maximize their return, if all the others are made available Samarja is probably viewed as a fall back guy

It is amazing how he is no longer considered a potential #1 now that he has played outside Wrigley field. Still a nice pitcher for the rotation, but what would he be considered now ? A #3?

Depends who he plays for. He’s an ace on the Jays! Then again, so is anyone lol

He was never a #1 or ever close to that…I don’t know how the Cubs peddled him as a #1, or why the As paid them the price of a #1, but they did.
Heck, the Cubs have turned the journeyman #5 Hammel into a mid-rotation starter. Kudos to them.

Chisenhall to Braves or Giants or Cardinals?

Or Brewers.

As a Tigers fan, I will be disgusted if the Tigers trade more prospects and pay half of Samardzija’s 9.8MM salary while eating the rest of Phil Coke and Gorzelanny’s 3MM combined salary, when they could have just kept Fister at 11.4MM this season and 7.2MM last season.
