I initially thought that Miami should have Jennings go back to just being GM too, but if Greg Cote thinks that as well then I guess I’m wrong b/c Cote is never right

I’m hoping that Conforto starts against RHP and if he does, he’ll get plenty of ABs.

The Dan Jennings “thingy” was not an experiment. It was an opportunity for a guy, who is going to be running the front office for a long time to come, to get first-hand dugout/locker room experience. One tends to manage people better when one appreciates all of the nuances of their jobs, the pressures they are under, the problems they are coping with, and the ways in which they succeed. This was basically a no-cost GM school semester. It was a brilliant thing to do. It is now over, however, and the search should begin for a true on-field manager.
Mr Pike
Doug Fister for Robbie Ray was a great trade for Detroit after all.

I don’t know about that.. Didn’t they pretty much trade Robbie Ray for Shane Greene?
Mr Pike
Robbie Ray for Shane Greene was a terrible trade, but that doesn’t change the fact that almost everyone was wrong on the Fister for Ray deal.
