Should be Lloyd McClendon (Mariners).

“… other candidates to depart include Brad Ausmus (Tigers), Lloyd McClendon (Tigers) …”
Well that would be neat! The Tigers could fire TWO managers after this season!

No offense to Kyle , but..”They’ve got a good minor league system and I thought there’s tons of guys that they’re going to want except for me.”
They may have asked forall of them too, but could only get Kyle.

Getting talented players back wasn’t exactly the Marlins’ top priority.

I hope Ichiro does get one more contract, for his sake I hope it’s somewhere other than Miami. A return to Seattle would be nice, SF would be another team that would be appreciative of his contribution to the game. If done right, his milestone will be celebrated, and received a lot better than ARod’s

I’m always left thinking how unfortunate it is that Ichiro began his MLB career at almost 27-1/2. Start him at age 22 or 23, and the numbers (esp. hits and stolen bases) become staggering. Probably at least 3,600 hits and possibly more than 700 steals.

And probably a few more batting titles

Ichiro has had an amazing career, but for 2016, the fish would do better with an outfield of (1) Stanton, (2) Ozuna, (3) Yelich, (4) Dietrich, and (5) Gillespie. Dietrich can also spell Prado at 3B. But unless the fish go and get two good free agent starts for 2016, they won’t be in the playoff hunt.
