great news for jays fans but hope the injury isn’t to serious

That is unfortunate.. Fortunately and hopefully it will only be 4 weeks and won’t turn into something more serious.. He has already had one Tommy John surgery.. I am not a big fan of his but his last few times out I wasn’t as nervous about him taking the bump as I was back in May and June.. I hope he comes back 100% next year.. A playoff rotation of Tanaka, Pineda, Severino and Nova isn’t ideal but with their bullpen they should be fine if their bats get hot again.. Tanaka and Pineda are solid #2’s and Severino and Nova are decent #3 and #4.. Hopefully they can score 4 runs early and often..

Also, Sabathia is a fighter.. Once the playoffs get here I wouldn’t be surprised if he cranked it up a couple of notch’s for one more great playoff run.. He hasn’t had any arm problems so his option will surely vest for 2017.. More than likely he won’t be playing for a contract next year and he can add a little more risk to his game in the playoffs.. He seems to have a lot of pride and I am sure that when he takes the bump in the playoffs he will do his best to make sure he keeps them in the game..

Dude, you live in a Dream World C.C. is nothing more than a glorified batting Practice Pitcher !

It’s sad, but I’m certainly not surprised.
I watched him pitch a couple weeks ago and he threw around 40 pitches or so at 99MPH or higher… if the Yankees want this guy to be a regular starter for them, they have to get him to dial it back several notches.
