Wouldn’t mind seeing the Cubs sign Lackey, tho not sure Theo would be willing to go there again

I’m sure Theo could turn a blind eye to the past if he thought Lackey could give him 30-32 starts and 185-205 innings a year.

I say it every time it comes up, but a David Peralta for Danny Salazar trade makes Just to much sense to not happen.

I’ve been saying that Ender Inciarte is a much better fit for the Indians than Ozuna, He’s the same age, a better defender, bats from the left, is a threat on the base-paths, doesn’t have club-house questions, and is controlled for an extra season. I think the D-backs could package him or Peralta, Drury or Lamb, Anderson or De La Rosa, and a lefty reliever for Carrasco. The D-backs will want Carrasco over Salazar due to his ground-ball tendencies that play better at Chase. Dave Duncun and TLR really love those ground-balls.

Zimmerman has pulled ahead of Cueto. Cueto is now the 4th best Starting Pitcher FA. He pitches two shutouts in the World Series, that might change. But I doubt that happens. He is tired.

“However, Kubatko’s tweet doesn’t make it seem like Brown is anywhere near the top of Baltimore’s offseason targets.”

While I agree that Lackey had a very good year, teams have to be careful that at 37 pitchers can go downhill quickly.
