It would be nice to see a unanimous vote finally and Griffey JR would be the perfect guy to get the honor he remained clean during the games darkest days and was a great ambassador for baseball. Unfortunately some voter will try to make a point or simply abstain from voting, Dan Lebatard used to have a hall of fame vote that says all you need to know about the entire process, why he ever had a vote to begin with is mind boggling. You also have voters who leave guys off because they believe they will get in with out their vote and they squeeze another guy on their ballot.

Not going to happen. It could’ve been Maddux last year, could’ve been Ryan when he got inducted. But nope neither of them were unanimous guys.

If there was going to be a unanimous vote it would have been done by now. I still want to know why someone didn’t think Maddux was first ballot worthy. Or for that matter, Henderson.

it is what it is….not Mays, Musial, Mantle, Aaron.

I wouldn’t call that an analysis of Aaron Hicks, it is more of a brief synopsis of his career.

Griffey is a better ball player them Maddux in the sense of HOF ballets. 10 gold gloves and 630 HR’s to start! The guy would have surpassed 800 or 900 if he wasn’t hurt all the time working for another gold glove. But these idiot writers won’t be unanimous. And btw, he is the only one who gets in this year. Hoffman will at some point but not for a while.

Derek Jeter is going to be the first player to get 100% of the vote though.

Nah, nobody’s ever gonna get 100%. The voting system is too wrecked to ever allow for it.
